Porcelain veneers are thin laminates of porcelain that are bonded to the tooth structure. One of the most successful treatments available in dentistry, porcelain veneers are extremely thin and, at the same time, extremely strong. A porcelain veneer may be as thin as 0.3mm. At Atlanta Dental Spa, our dentists we work with talented master ceramists around the country who fabricate our porcelain restorations.
Together we create beautiful lifelike restorations that mimic nature. We work with our patients’ individual needs and wants, and together we create beautiful, natural looking teeth. Our patients leave our office with the beautiful smiles they have always wanted.
UltraVeneers were developed exclusively by Dr. Boulden and Estep. You’ve heard of Lumineers right? They’re very similar except that our master ceramist creates these, not some giant corporation in China. Just like Lumineers though, often times it’s not necessary to modify or contour your existing teeth at all. That’s right! No shots or reduction of tooth structure. Through our engineering & design process, we can create super thin porcelain veneers that look AMAZING & last many, many years.

You may become fatigued trying to research all of the different options for whitening your teeth. Here are some basic guidelines to follow when considering whitening your teeth.
First, consult your dentist before you whiten. Sometimes disease or decay causes teeth to darken. If you whiten your teeth without first visiting your dentist, you may mask the disease or decay. This will allow the problem to worsen and may result in the need for more extensive and expensive treatment, or – even worse – the loss of your tooth or teeth.
Direct Bonding (including direct Veneers):
Direct bonding is a conservative procedure requiring the artistic talents of our dentists. Direct bonding requires little to no tooth reduction, and is a procedure in which a composite material is placed over your teeth to improve the appearance of the teeth. We may use direct bonding to brighten a dark tooth, build back a chipped or broken tooth, or as a filling in a tooth. This procedure may be used in many of the same cases as porcelain veneers,
though direct bonding typically does not last as long as veneers do. Some of our patients desire more dramatic alterations to their teeth, in which cases porcelain veneers may be a better choice of restoration. Our dentists will discuss each option available to you, and together we will decide what is best for your smile. At the Atlanta Dental Spa we utilize dental bonding material a lot because it provides a one-visit remedy to filling gaps in teeth, adding length to a tooth, or general filling of old mercury fillings.
Also serving Alpharetta, Marietta, Duluth and Roswell for Invisalign!!
Here’s how it works at Atlanta Dental Spa. We take one impression of your mouth. We then send that to Invisalign Corporation. We put on the prescription sheet your aesthetic and functional goals for how you want Invisalign to work for you. In a couple weeks, we get back something called a Clincheck. This shows, in computer graphics, a “Before” and “After” image for YOUR teeth. It’s amazing technology!!
Invisalign works by straighting your teeth with a series of aligners. About every 2 weeks you go in to a new aligner
Forget the old method of straightening teeth with metal bands and brackets!!
Invisalign allows people to see your smile still and gives you the flexibility of moving your teeth on your time. For example, we always tell our patients if they have a big event or something, that they can remove the aligner for that evening (knowing no movement take place during that time). But in today’s world, it’s nice to have the convenience to remove your braces!!
As we stated earlier, Invisalign uses a series of removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Change them about every 2 weeks, your teeth will move slowly with each tray.
Possible Less treatment time: On average, a typical Invisalign case takes about a year from start to finish. You’ll see Atlanta Dental Spa about every 6-8 weeks to see how you’re progressing. At each visit, we’ll give you more aligners. Commonly, the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but treatment time and number of aligners will vary.
Invisalign is a nearly invisible solution. The neat thing about it is that you won’t draw undue attention to your mouth while in treatment. In fact, virtually no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell them you are. They are typically more comfortable than wire braces AND you can take them out to brush, floss, drink and eat.
Invisalign® has both aesthetic and hygienic benefits.Moderate and severely crowded teeth can cause problems like swollen gums, redness or pocketing. All of these are signs of periodontal disease. Invisalign straightens teeth, which can contribute to a healthier smile because it makes them easier to clean and maintain oral health. Straighter teeth can lead to:
Clinical studies have shown that gum health can improve with the use of Invisalign.Properly aligned teeth can help gums “fit” tighter around the neck of the tooth, which may lead to better periodontal health cleaning. With Invisalign, you can brush and floss normally, which can help prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease that you might experience with wires and brackets in your mouth.
There are no brackets or wires to clean around as with traditional metal braces orthodontics. With maintenance of good oral hygiene, the chances of having plaque retention, tooth decay, and periodontal disease can be reduced.
In rare instances, speech problems may result from poorly positioned teeth and jaws. Correction of your bite through Invisalign can help improve chewing efficiency and speech. Decreased Risk of Trauma and Abnormal Wear: Properly aligned teeth can be less stressful on the supporting bone and jaw joints. Invisalign is available at Atlanta Dental Spa today!
We Offer Beautiful GENERAL dentistry too Look at the difference in just replacing the old silver filling. Inlays and onlays epitomize current dentistry. Because of the strength of current dental porcelains and composites, extremely strong restorations can be fabricated in place of failing existing silver fillings.
Because old silver fillings are not bonded in place, over time, they tend to cause splits and fractures in the tooth (similar to that of an axe and wedge). Conversely, inlays and onlays are bonded in place and actually strengthen the tooth in comparison to the old silver filling. It is a rarity that people must have full crowns or ‘caps’ anymore because of the advancements in dental materials and cements. With inlays and onlays it is no longer necessary to remove as much tooth structure. Instead inlays and onlays replace only what is needed (i.e. filling and decay). They are also strong and long lasting.
At the Atlanta Dental Spa, we believe that implants are the standard for single and multiple tooth replacement. Dental implants are made from titanium that is coated with a special coating that encourages the bone to grow around it. Once the implant integrates into the bone (osseointegration) the implant can last a lifetime. The implant is then restored with an all porcelain crown, just like a tooth would be. Unlike a bridge, implants replace a missing tooth without compromising the two teeth on either side of the space by crowning them. Implants are a predictable, conservative, and aesthetic approach for tooth replacement. If you live in Atlanta, Alpharetta, Roswell, GA or wherever- come in for a consultation with Dr. Estep or Dr. Boulden to discuss your dental implant options. We do a lot of implant dentistry and make beautiful results happen where there was a missing or broken tooth! Come in and see some of our recent work using dental implant technology.
