1.) Use an electric toothbrush (2x a day, ideally) - the bristles are softer on the teeth and gums and they remove more plaque than a mechanical toothbrush.
2.) Floss 1x daily to keep bacteria under the gum line at bay.
3.) Invest in a water flosser - this is a great way to flush bacteria away from the gum line.
4.) Stay away from whitening or charcoal toothpaste - these types of toothpaste are very abrasive and can wear down your enamel and be too rough on the gums.
5.) See your dentist regularly - 2 to 4 times per year, depending on the health of your mouth.
