Stained Teeth

Do you have dark teeth or tetracycline stains? Atlanta Dental Spa provides solutions for dark or stained teeth.
If you are looking to brighten up your smile, Atlanta Dental Spa has a few different types of whitening procedures that fit almost any budget and time frame! Almost everyone is a candidate for whitening or teeth bleaching, however some dark teeth are much more resistant to dental whitening procedures, especially tetracycline stained teeth.
Boost Whitening

Boost Whitening has been proven to be the most effective in-office dental whitening procedure available today. Boost uses a high-concentration hydrogen peroxide gel that absorbs quickly and thoroughly into the teeth, whitening from the inside-out. Boost far surpasses other methods in clinical studies and is what we most often recommend.
How Does it Work?
- First, we place protective barriers and coatings on your lips, cheeks, and gums so the strong peroxide only has contact with your teeth.
- Then, your job is to sit back, relax (with noise-cancelling headphones and your choice of TV programming of course), and enjoy!
After two or three cycles with the peroxide gel your teeth will get shades whiter, in as little as one hour. It takes an average of 3 in-office dental whitening procedures to get your teeth to the whitest shade your teeth can attain. It does not work better than the trays or strips, it just works faster. This system is great for someone who wants the quickest results. We do it for you so you don’t have to worry about using whitening trays at home! Boost Whitening may exacerbate tooth sensitivity for a few days after the treatment. We offer medications to help reduce any sensitivity you may experience. For patients with extremely sensitive teeth, lower-strength strips or trays may be a better option. If you don’t want to deal with messy trays and you prefer instant results, Boost may be the perfect teeth whitening solution for you.
Porcelain Veneers
When you have very dark teeth with gray, brown or reddish undertones, the gold standard is to apply a porcelain veneer to that tooth. The color of that dark tooth is coming from DEEP within the core of the tooth, which is why traditional whitening methods FAIL on tetracycline stained teeth. When placing veneers we aren’t limited to how white we can go based on deep stains.
