During the residency Dr. Gandhi became proficient in implant placement and restoration, IV conscious sedation, wisdom teeth extractions, and treating medically complex patients. He also served as the Chief Resident during his second year in the residency program, leading his colleagues and also developing a love for teaching dentistry.
Dr. Gandhi stays active in giving back to the profession and is a part-time clinical instructor at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. While learning the latest advancements in dentistry and presenting lectures to his colleagues, he assists in teaching residents implant placement and providing comprehensive dental treatment. Dr. Gandhi also lectures dental photography and teaches the hands-on placement of dental implants in the Georgia Maxi Implant Course, where dentists nationwide learn to integrate dental implants into their private offices.
Focusing on complete health dentistry, Dr. Gandhi spends many hours outside the office continuing his dental training with the Spear Education continuum in his local study club, as well as workshops and seminars located in Scottsdale, Arizona. His latest concentration has been helping patients with facial & neck pain through different treatment options including splint therapy and/or Botox injections, with a keen focus on sleep dentistry, which addresses patient’s ability to breathe and their airway as a potential underlying cause of dental problems.
Dr. Gandhi is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, The Hinman Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, and a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). In his free time, he enjoys photography, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
