Atlanta Dental Spa patients love coming to the dentist because they know they are receiving the very best dentistry and they are treated with top-notch customer service at every level. Rest assured that whether you are receiving a smile makeover, a filling, or a cleaning, you and your family are getting the very best.
At Atlanta Dental Spa, we love doing cleanings for our patients and their families. In fact, we don’t just love it, we are really good at it. We deliver the highest quality in everything we do.
Along with high quality and expertise, we also deliver excellence in customer service. We want you to love what we do and how we do it. We offer the complete dental experience!
Dental Inlays and Onlays are porcelain fillings that are alternatives to crowns. When a tooth is cracked, or an old amalgam filling is leaking or failing, an inlay or onlay is an ideal way to restore the tooth. Dentists used to have to grind teeth down to nubs and place crowns on teeth, but not anymore. At Atlanta Dental Spa we prefer to keep your teeth intact and restore only the unhealthy or unstable parts of your teeth.
Nobody can plan for an emergency. Unfortunately, emergencies happen. Perhaps you experience an extreme toothache on the weekend, or a crown falls out. In case of emergency, we have staff members on call so we can provide the help you need.
When you call us over the weekend and indicate you have an emergency, a doctor is available to get you the care you need. If your emergency happens during our office hours we will do whatever we can to get you on our schedule, and out of pain. We don’t want you to suffer!
Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD) is caused by jaw, facial muscle, and joint problems. The joint responsible for chewing is called the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and connects the temporal bone of the skull to the lower jaw. When Botox is injected into these areas it can help to relieve the tension and pain.
At Atlanta Dental Spa, we strive to be as conservative as possible. It’s the responsible way to conduct dentistry. In the old days, it used to be “crown or filling” was the only restoration option from your family dentist. Now, with advancements in adhesion protocols and porcelain systems we can offer more conservative options like inlays and onlays. In certain instances where we are replacing an existing crown or there is a lot of decay or damage to the tooth the best option might be a full coverage crown. Our crowns have NO METAL. Nothing replicates natural enamel and dentin better than porcelain.
A root canal is needed when damage occurs to a tooth’s pulp. This can happen due to an injury or due to severe tooth decay. A root canal is often a dreaded procedure but is often the only alternative to having a tooth extracted. Root canals are also very effective at eliminating tooth pain.
While root canals can take two or more appointments, the Atlanta Dental Spa team will work to make each appointment as comfortable as possible for you. At Atlanta Dental Spa, we believe strongly in practicing gentle dentistry. Our dentists will evaluate your tooth and determine if the issue was caused by cavities, a split tooth or root, and if the nerve is in danger. Usually, if the nerve is damaged, it will require a root canal.
At Atlanta Dental Spa, we make great use of the latest technology for your oral health, such as the Diagnodent. Oftentimes cavities at their very earliest stages won’t show up on x-rays and can be almost undetectable using conventional methods.
The Diagnodent allows us to spot cavities much earlier! It sends laser light into the tooth and gives a numerical reading of decay within that tooth. Better yet, it’s completely painless! Catching cavities early with Diagnodent will give you time to try to reverse the decay so drilling and filling isn’t necessary!
At Atlanta Dental Spa, we give people a denture that’s indistinguishable from natural teeth, including the gums. We go as far as to even tint the gum tissue to make it look extremely natural. Our goal is that you won’t be able to tell you’re wearing a denture. We use the best materials, the best teeth, and the best techniques to fabricate an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous denture that will fool anyone. People won’t know it’s a denture!
Take stock of where you live, work, and spend the majority of your time. Maybe you live outside the perimeter, but work inside the perimeter. Atlanta is a massive city; do you mind commuting to your dentist’s office? Look for a practice that’s close to where you spend the most time or along one of the major thoroughfares you travel regularly. When you’re rushing from a business meeting to make it to that dentist appointment you almost forgot about, you’ll be glad to have chosen an office that’s right around the corner.
Each of our locations offers front door, street-level parking. No parking garages. No stairs to climb. No parking in a shopping center that’s super far from the front door! Everyone appreciates convenience and efficiency, especially when it comes to parking.
Atlanta Dental Spa now offers five convenient locations to serve our patients. These include: one in the heart of Buckhead, one situated in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood; a location in East Cobb, our Johns Creek location conveniently located right off exit 7 on 400, and our newest addition in Brookhaven which is in the same building as our in-house dental lab. Our patients are more than welcome to visit any of our offices as their schedule requires, ensuring a hassle-free experience without battling traffic. Convenience is truly something to smile about!
An office that offers too many services can be a red flag. Ever heard the phrase “Jack of all trades, master of none?” A dentist who does root canals all day probably isn’t the best candidate to be crafting your porcelain veneers, but it happens all the time. Legally, a licensed dentist can perform any dentistry procedure, from extractions, to gum surgery, to orthodontics, and a few minutes later do a cosmetic procedure like porcelain crowns or veneers. It’s similar to asking an expert bricklayer to also choose your window coverings and the perfect fabric for your living room sofa. It sounds crazy!
While the two disciplines are related, they’re completely different areas of expertise. This is why it’s important to seek out a team of masters. We have multiple dentists on staff, each with their own specific area of proficiency. In cosmetic dentistry, finding a master ceramist is equally important as being a master dentist. A master ceramist is trained in the science of smile design, making sure each tooth is expertly crafted for the mouth and face it will belong to. Once your ideal smile design is laid out, our team uses the finest, ultra-thin ceramics to create beautiful pearly whites. None of those dreaded “Chiclet teeth!”
At Atlanta Dental Spa we take a comprehensive approach to dentistry, building a healthy body from the foundation of a healthy mouth; a true focus on total health. Healthy gums lower our risk for developing diabetes, pancreatic cancer and kidney cancer, while gum therapy improves blood vessel health and helps prevent heart attack and stroke. This is because the same plaque that builds up on our teeth can build up in our arteries and heart, creating blockages. Proper dental care calls for a visit to the dentist twice a year. This is likely more often than you see any other physician, especially if you’re generally in good health.
Complete health dentistry means your dentist can spot warning signs and even diagnose dangerous health conditions while you’re in the chair, sometimes when you’re completely unaware there’s a problem.
