Atlanta Dental Spa Helps You Navigate Your Insurance Details
Accepted Insurance
One of the most common questions that we get at Atlanta Dental Spa is, “Do you accept my insurance?” The answer to that is yes. We do accept all insurance plans as long as your specific plan allows you to visit an out-of-network provider.
We are not in-network with any insurance companies, so you will want to make sure your plan, possibly a PPO plan, will let you go out of network and will pay out-of-network dental offices.
Do You Accept My Insurance?
Atlanta Dental Spa is Here to Help!
While we don’t know exactly how much your insurance provider will pay for your specific treatment, we are able to call your provider, get a breakdown of insurance benefits, find out what they’ve paid in the past for similar services, and create an estimate for you.
We are a fee-for-service office, so our patients pay upfront at the time of the visit, and then we submit the insurance claims for you. After we submit the claim, the insurance company will reimburse you directly for however much they cover on the treatment you’ve received. Our dedicated Insurance Coordinators work diligently to make sure you’re reimbursed for as much as possible under your specific plan.
As with many medical providers, our fees may exceed the amount insurance carriers pay. Every dental insurance plan has different stipulations regarding access to care and payment for services rendered. Within the same insurance company, benefits may differ depending upon what type of contract employers negotiate with that carrier on an employee’s behalf.
A plan may include specific inclusions and exclusions that we will not know of in advance; therefore, it is important for the patient to understand his/her dental benefits. Benefits discussed with the patient are only estimates. In the event that a patient’s insurance carrier pays under the estimated amount, the patient will be responsible for any remaining balance. Read on for some advice for ensuring that you can take good care of your oral health and keep dental costs in check:
Prioritizing Dental Needs vs. Your Coverage
Don’t hesitate to talk to your dentist about financial concerns. If you have limited insurance coverage and don’t want to go too far above that coverage ceiling, your dentist can prioritize your dental work so that it fits your budget and your dental coverage. If you’ve got a limit per year, your dentist can schedule your needs based on that limit and could suggest the most cost effective treatments possible. For example, if you want smile improvements but can’t afford porcelain veneers, your dentist might suggest tooth bonding or Invisalign.
Dental Financing
If some or all of the services you want won’t be fully covered by your insurance policy, ask about dental financing. Atlanta Dental Spa offers dental options including interest-free financing, reducing the burden by giving you a small monthly payment to make instead of a large lump sum. Talk to Your Dental Insurance Company
Before having extensive work done, consider approaching your insurance company with your quote for dental work to find out exactly how much will be covered. There may be areas you’re not sure of and your insurance company can confirm how much they will cover. This way, you won’t be left with any unpleasant surprises.
Invest in Your Smile
Yes, certain dental services aren’t covered by basic dental insurance, but the difference they could make to your smile and your confidence levels could result in an amazing return on your investment. Certain dental procedures might even cost less than you expect. Why not set up a consultation with us at Atlanta Dental Spa and find out what your options are?
